Job Description

We are expanding our production team and looking for a creative, technology-savvy Production Studio Technician. If you have a great eye for lighting, camera angles, and strong experience building physical and remote pop-up studio set-ups, you might be our next VIVANT. You will be responsible for designing and building our core broadcast platform, managing our studio physical and remote studio installations, and environments our on-screen wine advisor talents and celebrities look fantastic online. Of course, you will be in charge of developing camera blocking directives and ensuring camera shots are in focus and framed correctly. You must have an incredible eye for detail and a nonstop passion for perfect broadcast video and sound. 

In This Role, You Will

  • Together with the production team, develop the aesthetic of our studio environment for live wine experiences
  • Lead the architecture and implementation of our production studio platform for physical and remote pop-up studios, in multiple locations
  • Benchmark existing studio and production equipment.  Select, source, and set-up our production studio set-ups.
  • Collaborate with producers and production team members to manage all the production elements, lighting, camera-blocking, props, set furnishings, and wardrobes
  • Monitor and manage the studio operations including hardware and software systems troubleshooting issues and resolving problems
  • Lead technical rehearsals with wine advisors and celebrities and organize daily schedules and appearances 
  • Together with the production, education, and technology, teams put in place a continuous improvement methodology

Qualifications

About You

  • University degree in communications, broadcasting, technology or similar field
  • 3+ years of professional experience in television or webcasting production
  • Demonstrated leadership with the ability to positively motivate and effectively communicate with producers and production team
  • Proven excellent judgment and timely decision-making in a dynamic and fluid live production environment
  • Hands-on experience with live broadcasting platforms
  • Working knowledge and experience with non-linear storytelling
  • Adaptable and flexible to changes in a fast-paced environment
  • Amazing attention to detail
  • Technically able to troubleshoot hardware, software and internet issues
  • Skilled with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office 
  • Interested in the world of wine, sustainability, and global travel
